Sports Premium Funding
What is the School Sports Premium?
The government provides additional funding to improve the provision of physical education and sport in primary schools. This funding is allocated directly to schools and can only be spent in this way. Schools have to use this funding to improve their provision of PE and sport and we have the freedom in deciding how we will do this.
At Harold Court Primary School, we are committed to ensuring that all children benefit from the Sports Premium regardless of ability. We recognise the contribution of P.E. to the health and well-being of the children as well as the developing their confidence.
Out of the 2024-25 Academic Year cohort of 59 Year 5 children, a total of 52 children met the National Curriculum standard for swimming competency. 75% of pupil can swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of 25 metres and 72% of pupils can use a range of strokes effectively.
