Children with an Education Health and Care Plan are processed outside of the normal admissions arrangements.
When the demand exceeds the number of places available at the School, places are allocated by applying the following criteria in descending order of priority to applicants who have expressed any preference for the School.
1. Looked after children and children who were previously looked after, but ceased to be so because they were adopted (or became subject to a child arrangements order or special guardianship order).
2. Exceptional social or exceptional medical grounds
3. The attendance in September 2017 at the School of a sibling;
4. The distance of the home address from the School, as measured by a straight line from the School, those pupils living nearer the school being given higher priority.
If, because of oversubscription in any of the categories 1) to 3) above, it is necessary to distinguish between applicants, the distance of the applicant’s home address from the School, as measured by a straight line from the school, will be used with those pupils living nearer the School being given higher priority.
If you want to transfer your child to the same year group in a different school (for example your child is in year 3 in one school and you wish to apply for a year 3 place in another school) your application is called an In Year admission. Please click here for more information regarding this.
For children born between 1st September 2010 and 31st August 2011
The simplest and most efficient way to apply for a school place for your child is to apply online via the electronic Common Application Form (CAF). You can do this now via www.havering.gov.uk/eadmisssions; as an alternative you can download a hard copy from the admissions website www.havering.gov.uk/admissions or if you don’t have access to a computer you complete a paper CAF which you can request by contacting the School Admission Team via the following details:
Applying for a place in Reception in an infant or primary School or Academy.
Only legal guardians with parental responsibility are entitled to make an application for a child’s School place. A guardian is defined as a parent or carer who has legal responsibility for the child this includes a person who is named legally through a Court Order.
Parents/carers residing in Havering should complete the Common Application Form (CAF) online via the eAdmissions website (www.eadmissions.org.uk). Parents who are unable to complete the CAF online will be able to visit the Public Advice & Service Centre (PASC) based in Romford’s Liberty Shopping Centre on a Monday, Wednesday of Friday mornings (between 9:30 and 12:30) where Admissions Staff will be able to assist with this online process or if appropriate a paper application will be issued to parents. All applications must be submitted by the 15 January 2016.

All applications must reach be submitted online, or reach the School Admissions Team, no later than the 15 January 2016.
Everybody must apply for a school place! If you have already contacted a Havering primary school to register your child’s name please note that you will still need to complete a CAF; without an application your child will not be considered for a place at the school.
The application form asks you to list up to 6 schools that you would like to be considered for in order of preference. It is advisable that you include your local school as one of your preferences. If you are unsure where your closest school is you can use the Find My Nearest tool on the Havering website www.havering.gov.uk or alternatively you can contact the School Admissions Team and a member of the team will be able to assist you.
