Our JTAs

At Harold Court, we take the 'voices' of our children very seriously, and with guidance and support we aim to hear their points of view in making our world a better place in which to live in.

One committee that is leading the way in making a difference are our very own JTA's Junior Travel Ambassadors. These children are appointed to be part of the new committee by staff, however the children each complete an application form as to why they feel they would like to be an ambassador for our school and how they will strive to bring about change.

Our JTA's are led by Mr Pitty, Assistant Head Teacher in Key Stage 2. Who works tirelessly in bringing the children's ideas and vision to life!

From September 2013 our JTAs evolved from Junior Road Safety Officers – and have had much publicity from local businesses as well as local media. From May 2014 our children devised a policy and have started a ‘working party’ consisting of staff, parents/carers and of course our children. Where ideas are discussed, strategies explored and actions laid out.

OUR JTA SCHOOL POLICY

The policy below underpins all the hard work and long term vision for the JTA’s, All parents/carers are welcome to be involved and if you feel as passionate about Travel, and safety on the roads, bikes and scooters as we do – please get in touch and we can very quickly get you involved!

Thanks
